Movements Workshop 2: Kinetic Typography

For Tuesdays lesson we had to create a video, using kinetic typography, based on our chosen movement. The video had to be created in after effects and obviously portray our genre.

To start off we just fiddled around with After Effects, in an attempt to gain more knowledge of the tools in the programme, in order to be able to produce our video. I created quite a simple video using rectangles in order to give the illusion that the screen is moving towards you (a typical optical illusion). It wasn’t bad for a first attempt:
